EMMANUELLE ALT is French Vogue's new editor-in-chief. She will replace Carine Roitfeld, who held the position for 10 years, and will begin her new role on February 1.
"It is a great honour for me, and also a great pleasure, to arrive at the head of Vogue Paris which I know so well," - Alt. "By working with such a talented team, I am confident of developing the incredible potential of the magazine."Alt has worked as fashion director under Roitfeld for the duration of her editorship. She began her career in 1990 at Elle - becoming fashion director aged 20 - before undertaking the same role at Mixte, where she worked until 2000.
Personally we are glad it was Emmanuelle Alt which takes over and we look forward to many upcoming and unique editions of French Vogue.
